Nicolas (Nick) Christin -
Currently a doctoral candidate in computer science at UVa. He
is working as a research assistant for the Multimedia
Networks Group and is also the unofficial systems administrator (of
Unix machines) for the research group. He first encountered a Unix
system in 1996 (Digital Unix on alpha) and started doing systems
administration (Linux and FreeBSD) in 1997. He is now also involved
in kernel-level development (FreeBSD/ALTQ) as part of his graduate
research.

Brian Mays -
A perpetual graduate student in the engineering physics program at
UVa, he first encountered Unix in 1992 and Linux in 1995. Since
1996, he has spent his spare time as a developer for the Debian
project.

Pat Murphy -
A former Astronomer, now an IT manager at the National Radio
Astronomy Observatory (on Campus). He is the guy who persuaded Jeff
Uphoff to come to town back in 1993 to install Linux for NRAO, and
nothing has quite been the same since then :-) Now NRAO has hundreds
of Linux desktops, servers, and home machines.

Josh Malone -
Currently working for Applied Data Systems in their Linux division. He
is a former FreeBSD sysadmin for several local tech companies. He first
got into Linux at Virginia Tech, where he served as VTLUUG's vice-president.
He currently collects old, obsolete unix hardware for no apparent reason.
